- Towel dry the hair to remove excess moisture.
- Section your hair.
- Adjust the tension control on the side of the straightening attachment. Setting one is the lowest tension and setting four is the highest. Start with the first setting to see which works best on your hair. If your hair is not being gripped between the straightening plates, increase the tension until you get a good grip on the hair.
- Place the straightening head into the hair underneath the hair section and glide down the hair length.
- To get more volume at the root, position the straightening head underneath the section at the root, lift and then move down the hair section in a curved motion.
- To create more of a flicked-out look, glide the straightening head down the outside of the hair section and then turn outwards and upwards at the end.
